But sadly, there is still immense discrimination, invalidation and marginalisation faced by many members of our community. While we face prejudice and discrimination for the rest of the year, let’s pretend LGBTQ+ rights are worth addressing by big brands only during the pride month and appreciate the efforts they are taking to bring in awareness. I often get overwhelmed while talking about this and fail to keep an objective stance so I’ll end this by saying, I acknowledge the struggle for accepting your identity to yourself and in front of society and every conflict that comes with it. It isn’t easy.
